Good Afternoon -
Time seems to go by faster and faster....Another football season in the books. I want to say thanks for all that you, the parents, have done this year.
The coaches contacted me to make sure you all know how they appreciated all the support. They saw the passion!
The coaches will be having a pizza party for the ninth grade team after school on Tuesday until about 4:30. They can be picked up any time after that. They will turn in pants, pads, belt, helmet, and jersey's at that time.
Good luck to all the kids and I hope to see you all next year, if not before.
Signing off - Linder out!
At our September 14th meeting, Principal Coley McDonough wanted to relay to all the parents of the younger players who have been coming to the meetings and volunteering their time that you have been noticed this year. He would like to thank you and to know that he appreciates the fact that you get it - you need to be involved before your son hits the High School or Varsity team to make a difference for your son once he is at that level. Without you we cannot implement the changes needed to build a great program.
As we approach the final game of the season, I would like to thank all who have helped this year. So many people came together and made this football season memorable!! Thank You
It was a great effort on Thursday night. A great win! It was really fun to see all the fans on the North Branch side cheering our kids on! I think the coaches were impressed with the support!
Thank you to Vicki and Barb and all the helpers that helped out with the Quarterback Clubs concession stand. It sure seemed like they were busy the whole night. Thank You to all who purchased food to support them as well!!!
Final game will be at Totino Grace at 4:30PM on Tuesday Night. Good Luck Vikings.
Beth and Don Steele have invited the team to their mansion on Monday night after practice. I am sure it will be a somewhat short practice due to the game on Tuesday. So there will be several parents there to drive the kids to the Steele's after practice on Monday. Please coordinate with your son for pick up time after the dinner. Probably somewhere around 7:00PM, give or take. The address is below. Thank You Beth and Don!

I would like to say Thank You to the Martineau family for providing dinner last week for the team. After a rain out practice, I was not sure many would show, but it sounds like most made it to the dinner and ate them out of house and home. Thanks again!!!
Once again thank You and Good Luck on Tuesday boys!!!
Peace - Eric
Good Morning - I hope everyone is having a great start to the week.
After a tough loss to St. Francis, the team will host Irondale on Thursday afternoon at 4:30. After doing some research, I believe the game will again be held at the Middle School Field. (Soccer playoffs at the High School) This is not for sure yet, but stay tuned. A reminder that the Quarterback Club will be selling concessions at the game.
Another Team dinner will be held at the Martineau's house on Wednesday after practice. Details and directions are as follows.
Freshman Football Last Home Game Team Dinner
P.S. Please help out with the chains if at all possible on Thursday. It is sometimes difficult to find volunteers..
Have a great week and see you all Thursday!!
Peace - Eric
Good Morning once again - this is just a note to congratulate the team for a convincing win last night in White Bear Lake. For those who were not able to make the game, the kids played very well and continue to learn each day. Let's keep the momentum going in to St. Francis. The game is at 4:30 PM. Click on the High School link above for directions.
A couple of notes......
We would like to thank Chris Pate for the use of the Stacy Fire Truck for the team at the Homecoming Parade. Thanks again Chris!!!!!!
Also, the QB club will be selling concessions at our last home game on October 13th. Hot dogs, Brats, pop and other goodies will be sold during the game. As of now, it will be at the North Branch Stadium.
As we are already coming to the end of another football season, I wanted to make sure you are aware that the last game of the season will be on Tuesday October 18th. (Not the customary Thursday) That game will be at Totino Grace at 4:30
Any other off the field questions you may have, feel free to contact me any time. Thanks for all your support and let's cheer the team on tomorrow night!!
Peace - Eric

Good Morning All!!!
Congrats for a great win last night. Hopefully we can ride a winning streak through the rest of the season.
Thanks to those who have helped run the chains. It helps a great a ton. One more home game. I am trying to get 3 helper per half and then 3 others do the other half. Please see me if you can help. Thanks again.
FYI on last nights change of fields.... the decision was head grounds keeper Bill Burton's. Not Coach Nity or AD Carlson's. Many of you were disappointed as to the change of field so I wanted to let you know that it was due to a little rain in the morning and he did not want to ruin the field for Homecoming.
Next week. There was an extra game added on Tuesday in White Bear Lake. I am being told that all will be giong, but it will be mainly a B and C game. I will get directions for the game and give it to you on Monday. St. Francis on Thursday, away. Should be a fun week!!
Good Luck to the Varsity tonight. I hope you will all be there to cheer on the team. Please contact Vicki if you can help volunteer before the game...
Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great weekend!!
Peace - Eric
Good Morning,
This week Robinsdale Cooper will make their way to N.B. Middle School field. The game will start at 4:30. After a couple of tough losses let's cheer the kids on to a win on Thursday afternoon.
I will be looking for 2 more volunteers to work the chains. Please let me know if you are interested.
There will be a get together the Monday after the Homecoming parade at Jack Tholen's house. They live in Mystic and the kids can walk over there for hot dogs, chips and fun. If there is anyone who would like to help Bobbi please feel free to email her at fancydancinmn@hotmail.com More info about the parade to follow. Or check out the website.
Let's start a winning streak on Thursday..
Peace - Eric
Good Afternoon
Our rival Chisago tonight - Game is at 4:30 at Chisago. Coaches think the game will be at the stadium this afternoon. It is truly a great facility. Let's cheer them on!!
Just a couple of notes this week.....
Coach Lattimore let me know that the extra Quarter are set for these games:
Cooper - Irondale - St. Francis - Totino Grace
That means there will be an additional quarter played after the game.
If anyone could help me video for a quarter, please let me know. It would be a big help. Thanks
We are also looking for individuals to help run the chains at the remaining home games. We need 3 people per game. Please see me and I will get you on the list. It is a great way to watch the game!!!
If there is anyone else that wants to take the Drivers Ed class October 24th thru November 4th. Please let me know. The class will be from 4 PM to 7PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. There are a few spots still available. If you have contacted me already, I have you on the list. Any questions about the class you can talk to me or call Kristin Mayne at 651-674-1700
I have a Wednesday night dinner set for October 12th at the Martineau's mansion and possibly an October 5th dinner at the fire hall. Please keep these in mind and wait for more info in the future. If anyone else would like to take one of the other dates, please let me know. I also think Friday's after practice of home varsity games could be a great time for a team dinner as well.
If you have any pictures or other info for the website, please email Barb and she will get it on the website.
Thanks for your time and let's cheer on the Vikings!!!!
Peace - Eric
Good Morning - I am assuming everyone got the kids off to school and they are all eager to start learning and making the world a better place to live.
I have added a few more names to the list so I am very close to having all names here, but I am still missing a few so if you see someone missing please forward this message on.
This week we have two day's of practice to get ready for Tartan on Thursday. The game is at 4:15 at Tartan. (Oakdale) Directions are on the School's website if you are able to go. (I am assuming the kids will be leaving school early for this one.)
FYI - Jake Smith and his family will be hosting our first team dinner after practice on Wednesday night. All are invited to have food and a good time. The address is 7625 387th St. (Cassleberry Ponds) Phone number is 651-674-2745 if you have questions. This is walking distance, but practice usually get's done a little early the day before a game, but a short week may change that. For those who can drive a few kids to Jakes house on Wednesday, that would be helpful. This dinner should be done between 7:30 and 8:00 PM. Thanks to Jake and his family for offering to do this.
Please check out the website -- Feel free to add/suggest information OR pictures. Barb Hensch is in charge of making additions and subtractions to the website. Her email address is BHensch@msn.com.
And if anyone is interested in hosting next weeks dinner, please let me know.
For those who did not make last week's game, the kids are doing well and should have a very successful season. Skol Vikings!!!!!
Peace - Eric
My name is Eric Linder for those of you who do not know me. I have volunteered to be the 9th grade communication contact for the team parents. If you have any questions about the team please give me a call. (Other than on the field) I am missing several emails on this first email. If you know someone who is not on this list, please let me know so I can get them on my contact list. We are struggling to get the email list from the school. As I hope you are all looking forward to a successful season there are things we, as parents, can do to help the kids have a rewarding and winning season.
First of all, I have spoke with the coaches several times and they are giving the times and schedule to the kids after the practices, but this is what I got for the upcoming season.
Practices during the school year will be from 3:50 to around 5:45. Most likely being picked up at 6:00PM
Tomorrow nights game is at home against St. Louis Park at 4:30. The team should be there at 3:30 for game prep.
Just an FYI - The coaches have added four additional B games that will be after the already scheduled A games, which may affect pick up times. I will let you know which games those are as soon as I get them.
The coaches are looking for individuals to help out video taping the games if possible. Tomorrow nights game is covered, but if you can help out please let me know. (Both home and away)
Finally, there has been some talk of doing a "team dinner" on the eve of game nights. If anyone has ideas as to make this work it does create a team identity. As of now, I do not believe the school is an option for this dinner. I am open to hear suggestions.
Please check out the Quarterback Club's booth just outside the main entrance of the High School during open house tomorrow night.
(The Quarterback Club is always looking for volunteers to help support the program)
Once again, thanks for the time and be sure to cheer our football team on tomorrow night.
