Recreational Soccer Program
North Branch Area Youth Soccer Association
The Rec. Soccer Program is for children ages pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. It is a developmental soccer league, where the kids learn by playing small-sided games of 4 or 5 a side. The emphasis of the program is on fun and learning the basic skills of soccer (dribbling, passing and shooting). No scores or team standings are kept at the younger ages to promote the joy of the sport without worry of winning or losing. The third and fourth grade teams will have a tournament at the end of the season. We want kids to learn how to score goals and to develop into confident players, without fear of failure.
Update as of 5/16/12: Post Cards have been mailed informing everyone of their child's team's color and the field they are to report to on the First Day. Coaches will begin calling their players on (or after) May 17th.
Age Requirements and Program Fees
To be eligible to play in the Rec Program, your child needs to be 5 years of age by September 1, 2012.

Program Coaches / Volunteer Application
As many of you know, the NBAYSA is run solely by volunteers. In order for our Soccer Programs to be successful, we need many volunteers and many coaches.
If you are interested in coaching, managing or volunteering, please fill out the appropriate form (either for the Rec. or Traveling Programs) and mail in with your child's registration.
We are in need of roughly 65-70 volunteer coaches for the Rec Program season. For the Traveling Program, we need approximately 15-20 volunteers (Coaches, Asst Coaches and Team Managers).
