Vikings Win 24-6

Another win for the Vikings!  Game ball went to Cody Segelstrom for efforts on offense and defense.  He scored a touch down in the second quarter and ran the ball hard the entire game.  Good reads and tackles on defense helped lead the team to victory (welcome home Dad).  First quarter touch down by James Peltier and 3rd quarter touch down by Luke Nelson.  Hunter Sahlberg made all three extra point kicks.  There was good pass awareness on defense and they did a good job of putting pressure on the quarterback.  Good job guys!!

6th Grade goes 3-0

Saturday's game against Chisago #1 Green was another win for the Vikings 22 - 0!  Chisago had a very large 6th grader, but he was no match for Vikings Matt Christensen.  Matt's defensive skills and determination neutralized their big player.  No surprise then that the Game Ball was awarded to Matt.  Congratulations!  Our defense remains unscored upon after three games.  Hopefully we'll continue this streak to the end of the season.  Offensively, the line has been doing a great job of opening up holes for our running backs.  Grayson Devlin scored one touch down, James Peltier scored two, and Hunter Sahlberg kicked in the extra points. Great job everyone and good luck Saturday against Chisago #3 Navy.
