North Branch teams have a choice of two different leagues to play in, or can choose to play in both. There is the Great Northern Basketball League (www.gnbl.org) which is comprised of teams from North/West Central Wisconsin and East Central Minnesota. The other is Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (www.myas.org) comprised mainly of Mpls/St. Paul Metro teams. To request more information click the link that follows and send us your questions.

North Branch Community Education has the Youth In Action program in basketball for 1st - 6th graders. This program is designed as an introduction for kids that want to see what basketball is all about and to decide if it is something they want to pursue beyond elementary school.
Season generally starts mid-December and goes through February. Co-Ed teams are formed and season is split between practice and game play. Play/Practice takes place in North Branch Middle School on Saturday mornings.
Volunteers to help Coach/Supervise a team are needed. Teams are usually from 8 - 11 kids and having 2 coaches/team really works well.

During the past several months the North Branch varsity boys and girls coaching staff have been meeting with community members to discuss the idea of starting a basketball organization.
For a number of different reasons, we believe that this organization will benefit our young men and women, our basketball program, and our community as a whole.
In forming the organization, we have decided that because a basketball association existed, that we would join the efforts of those members and restructure the North Branch Court Club which will now support all age levels from Youth in Action to the High School Varsity program.
The Board for this association will consist of 11 members, 2 of which are held by the North Branch Boys and Girls Varsity coaches but are non-voting. The following are the current board members:
